Hymnalaya is a young band from Reykjavík, Iceland.
Their sound is rooted in old hymns which they have combined with indie, ambient and ethnic textures.
In 2013 record records released their debut album Hymns. The album contains 12songs, four of which are instrumental. The album was recorded at Sundlaugin. Recorded by Birgir and Hálfdán Helgi Harðarson, mixed by Alex Somers and mastered by Birgir the co-owner of sunglaugin.
